Product Overview
The 2711-K10G8L1 is a rugged electronic device that is used to provide real-time and up-to-date operator interface to the process or machine in the factory floor area. This hardware is a manufactured by Allen-Bradley for the 2711 PanelView Standard Operator Terminal product family. This product family is a discontinued product category that functions as Human Machine Interface (HMI) device.
The 2711-K10G8L1 is supplied with 18 to 32VDC power with nominal rate of 24VDC. It has a power consumption of 24 W max (1.0A @ 24V DC).
This device supports mounting to a NEMA Type 12/13, 4X (Indoor use only) IP54, IP65 rated enclosures and approved for Class I Division II operation.
Monitoring of process is performed through the 10-inch Grayscale screen. This screen is ideal for applications that depend more on symbol and image animation such as a process control or machine automation where a collection of equipment and devices or individual parts of a machine is needed to be displayed. The screen has a display area 211 x 158 mm (8.3 x 6.2 in.) and VGA resolution of 640 x 480 pixels.
Sixteen (16) function keys, numeric inputs, navigation and cursor control keys are provided that serves as the operator control interface. Not only control command may be initiated using the keypad, system functions such as alarm acknowledgement, user log-in, device maintenance, process start and stop, runtime start and shutdown and many other functions may be triggered using the keypad assembly.
The HMI device supports an industry approved protocol Data Highway Plus (DH+). It permits connection to a single or multiple PLC 5, SLC 5/04 controller, CompactLogix or ControlLogix
system on the Allen-Bradley DH+ network. It supports direct access to the controller registers which minimizes ladder logic. An RS232 port is also installed printing applications alarm lists to be used for documentation, historization and analysis.VIIIVThe 2711-K10G8L1 electronic hardware is a Human Machine interface (HMI) made by Allen Bradley.
