Product Overview
The PanelView Standard Operator Terminal 2711-K5A20L1 is a 24 DC powered Human Machine Interface (HMI) components that collects and gathers data from process controllers and cevices installed in the fields or machine level of the plant. By consolidating the data, the HMI device provides a graphical process display that represents the actual process layout or a series of user interfaces for operating the systems.
This terminal features a process visualization of 5.5-inch diagonal measurement, a Keypad inputs area consisting of Ten (10) function keys, numeric input, navigation and cursor control buttons that are capable of up to 1 million actuations.
The Ethernet interface provides a flexible communication solution as it is a user-friendly protocol, commonly used as enterprise network backbone. With implementation of Ethernet in the factory floor, the HMI devices may be connected in a topology that accepts simultaneous client connection from any location. Ethernets maximum distance is 100m theoretically however, may be expanded by another network switch or with the utilization or wireless or fiber optic technology.
The terminal also supports alarm printing through its RS232 printer port where alarm records and messages can be sent out to an alarm printer for documentation. Information that can be printed includes Alarm Description, Alarm Trigger, Timestamp, alarm status and operator message.
The 2711-K5A20L1 PanelView 550 operation supports a variety of design elements for use in creating process visualization. The terminal is configurable using the PanelBuilder32 software. The terminal has a Random Access Memory (RAM) of 170KB and 240KB non-volatile memory.
