Product Overview
The 2711-K5A2L1 is a PanelView 550 that is capable of interfacing with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), stand-alone electronic controllers, converters and gateways for the purpose of consolidating data and provide a graphical display and user interface. It also provides links through the input area where operator may initiate action which shall be sent out to the partner devices via the integrated communication port.
The HMI terminal is designed and manufactured by Rockwell Automation with a 5.5-inch monochrome display with a resolution of 256 x 128 pixels. Ten (10) function keys are pre-assembled together with a numeric input set, navigation and control keys. Each button of this keypad can withstand up to 1 million presses. Operating with a gloved finger is highly suggested to maximize the keypads expected lifespan.
The integrated communication port supports DH485 protocol for connection to existing or new DH485 devices and networks. This communication protocol connects to a single or multiple SLC 500 or MicroLogix processors on the Allen-Bradley DH-485 network. It supports point-to-point or network transfers.
The 2711-K5A2L1 rated power supply input range is 18-32 VDC, with nominal input supply of 24VDC. 2711-K5A2L1 supports Historical and real-time alarm display including a pop-up alarm banners, screen security with the use of usernames and passwords, analog gauges from the software library and ATA memory card for memory expansion.
The terminal has a Random Access Memory (RAM) of 170KB and 240KB non-volatile memory. Much of the RAM is utilized during application runtime while the non-volatile is used for storing HMI files such as recipes, data logs, short alarm records and application backup. The non-volatile memory may be expanded up to 32Mb with the use of an ATA Memory card.VIIIVThe 2711-K5A2L1 electronic hardware is a Human Machine interface (HMI) made by Allen Bradley.
