 Product Overview

The 2711-K5A3L1 is a catalog number for the PanelView Standard Operator Terminal product family. This product of Allen-Bradley is a Human Machine Interface (HMI) solution that is designed for industrial use such as Mining, Semiconductor, Food and Beverage, Manufacturing, Automotive, Cement, Aviation, Petrochemical, Oil and Gas and many other industries.

The 2711-K5A3 features a 5.5-inch monochrome display having a resolution of 256 x 128 pixels and display area of 120 x 60 mm (4.75 x 2.38 in.). This part of the HMI serves as the process visualization component intended to display process mimic.

The 2711-K5A3L1 has a keypad assembly intended for operator input. It has Ten (10) Function keys (F1 to F10), numeric input keys, directional buttons, confirm and cancel buttons all designed to operate up to 1 million actuations.

Data is collected and gathered through the DH485 communication port. This port is compatible for direct communication with SLC 500 or MicroLogix processors. Support to PLC5, CompactLogix and ControlLogix system is included the use of communication adapters.

The RS232 printer interface may be used to communicate alarm print queues that carries alarm print information for documentation and future analysis of the operation.

This PanelView terminal is approved for installation in a NEMA Type 12, 13, 4X (indoor use only), IEC IP54, IP65 rated enclosures. This HMI hardware requires clearances measuring 25mm (1 inch) clearances on all sides (except the bottom) of the operator terminal to allow adequate air flow. Maintain 25mm (1.5 inch) clearance on the bottom of the operator terminal for mounting and air flow.VIIIVThe 2711-K5A3L1 is a Keypad operated Human Machine Interface (HMI) component made by Bradley for PanelView Standard Operator Terminals. This terminal is DC powered with nominal input supply of 24VDC. It has a 5-inch display with support for DH485 communication and RS232 printer communication ports.
