Product Overview
The Bulletin 2711 PanelView Standard Operator Terminals includes the 2711-K5A5 catalog number
that features a 24VDC powered electronic circuitry, 5.5-inch monochrome screen, Keypad operator interface area, Data Highway Plus (DH+) and RS232 printer communication port.
Human Machine Interface (HMI) hardware. PanelView terminals are cost effective solutions for implementing real-time user interface to machine or process in the factory floor area. It is typically flush mounted on a NEMA or IP rated enclosure.
For industrially approved installation and maximize the units lifespan, install the hardware in a NEMA Type 12/13, 4X (Indoor use only), IP54 and IP65 or any equivalent rated enclosures. Create a panel cut-out according to the cut-out template shipped with the terminal and install the hardware flush mounted to the panel. It has internal circuit protection however, external protection devices may be installed such as surge suppressors, transformer, Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) and other devices.
Provide adequate space within the enclosure for ventilation. The PanelView device and other components heat dissipation must be considered. The ideal ambient temperature surrounding the terminal must be between 0
55 °C (32
131 °F). Maintain spaces for provision to access the back panel of the terminal for wiring, maintenance, installing a memory card and troubleshooting.
The operator terminal runs an application that is custom designed using the PanelBuilder32 development software. This software has an internal library set that hosts a design library including ISA images, industrial equipment and devices, electrical components, instrumentation symbols, bitmaps and images. Developed application is downloaded to the terminal and executed using the integrated runtime environment of the operator terminal.
VIIIVThe 2711-K5A8L1 is a Keypad operated Human Machine Interface (HMI) component made by Bradley for PanelView Standard Operator Terminals. This terminal is DC powered with nominal input supply of 24VDC. It has a 5-inch display with support for Data Highway Plus (DH+) and RS232 printer interface.
