Product Overview
The PanelView Standard Operator Terminal with part number 2711-K6C10 is a PanelView 600 that functions as a Human Machine Interface (HMI) device. This operator terminal is a discontinued on 06/30/2012 product therefore available only as a spare part. It has an engineering replacement of 2711P-K7C4A8.
This electronic hardware is rated for NEMA 4x and approved for operation in Class 1 Division 2 process areas. It is flush mounted on a panel following the cut-out template provided with the terminal. When installing the hardware, allow 2 inches clearance on all sides to allow adequate air flow and space for troubleshooting and maintenance.
This terminal is powered with an input supply ranged of 85 to 264VAC. When wiring the terminal, ensure that is has its own branch circuit, fuse or circuit breaker is installed along the supply line wit a rating not more than 15 amperes. Furthermore, power cable must be separated with the communication cable.
The terminal support enhancement as it was built with modularity. Components such as Anti-glare overlays, real-time clock, function key legend insert, interface module may be added to enhance and expand the functionality of the device.
The 2711-K6C10 permits graphical view of the process through the colored screen with integrated backlight that is designed to operate up to 50,000 hr rated half-life. The screen has a resolution of 320 x 234 with display area of 15 x 86 mm (4.54 x 3.4 in.).
Operator control is introduced via the keypad interface which has Ten (10) function keys. These function keys are assignable to multiple functions and may be linked to individual screens and object in the process.
The terminal is essentially a DeviceNet terminal due to the primary communication port attached to the unit. DeviceNet uses server explicit, I/O explicit and listen only modes to exchange data to the device level of the factory floor. It follows RS485 topology thus, it may be implemented in long distance.
