The 2711-K6C15L1 is a 24VDC powered PanelView Standard Operator Terminal. This operator terminal is a PanelView 600 ControlNet terminal as it natively supports ControlNet communication. HMI devices are typically installed in the factory floor area to improve monitoring and control efficiency of a machine or process. With efficient control, performance and uptime increases.
The 2711-K6C15L1 has a rugged design that is compatible for installation in work environments that demand 24/7 operation. This terminal is Rated NEMA 4X and approved for Class 1 Division 2 operation.
It supports modularity at it can be enhanced and upgraded to suit the application requirement or the location that it is installed. Additional components that may be used with the hardware include anti-glare overlay to improve visualization and avoid reading errors, real-time clock to support time based operations, interface modules to support different communication protocols, Function key legend inserts to provide clear description of a specific key function.
The PanelView 600 supports advanced alarm function, multi-layer configurations, universal language, screen security, recipe management, tag trending and other functions. These features are either available as a component in the development software, natively embedded or through a memory card.
This product is a PanelView 600 with a 5-inch color active matrix Thin Film Transistor (TFT) screen. It has a VGA resolution of 320 x 234 with display area of 115 x 86 mm (4.54 x 3.4 in.). It has replaceable Cold Cathode Fluorescent (CCF) Backlight with a lifespan of 50,000 hr. 1/2 life at 25 °C (77 °F) with appropriate replacement part number of 2711-NL5.
The HMI terminal has a dual operator input area. It has a Ten (10) Function keys, numeric input area, navigation buttons and cursor control keys. Only the function keys support a variety of function assignments, the other keys have standard and fixed assignments.
The 2711-K6C15L1 is a ControlNet terminal. ControlNet support symbolic CIP addressing when communicating to a ControlLogix system. It may also be used to connect to a PLC5, communication adapters and other devices supporting ControlNet protocol.
