Product Overview
The 2711-K6C2 display terminal is a PanelView Standard Operator Terminal from Allen-Bradley that functions as Human Machine Interface (HMI) device. This electronic hardware belongs to the PanelView 600 sub-category that enables process operators or machine users to implement monitoring and control using the downloaded custom application developed in PanelBuilder32 software. An integrated DH485 communication port can be used to communicate to automation devices for peer to peer to or multi-peer communication.
The 2711-K6C2 features a 5-inch colored display screen and has a resolution of 320 x 240. It is powered is with AC supply rated 85 to 264 Volts AC. The display terminal has a non-volatile memory of size of 240 KB and weighs 6 pounds with dimensions of 14 x 11 x 8 inches. It has a keypad assembly made of 10 Ten function keys, numeric input, navigational and cursor control keys that serves as the operator input area. The keypad assembly is made of stainless-steel domed membrane with an actuation lifespan of 1 million presses. The HMI panel supports firmware versions between 1.00 and 4.48.
The screen has a replaceable backlight rated at 50,000 hours of half-life operating at temperature of 25 degrees Celsius. The 2711-K6C2 display panel has 10 function keys that can be configured for different control and trigger functions.
This operator terminal is approved for Class I Division II process areas and recommended for installation in a NEMA Type 12/13, 4X (Indoor use only), IP54 and IP65 rated enclosure.
PanelBuilder32 is the development software used to create applications intended for this device. It features an offline development capability and test function.
