Product Overview
The 2711-K6C8L1 is a Human Machine Interface (HMI) hardware used for interfacing process or machine and external operator actions for achieving improved monitoring and control efficiency. HMI devices aid the operator in decision making through up-to-date and real-time display of process data. This terminal is a DC powered hardware with rated supply of 18 to 32 VDC with nominal input of 24VDC.
The 2711-K6C8L1 belongs to the Bulletin 2711 PanelView Standard Operator Terminal. This HMI hardware supports implementation of screen security, advanced alarm handling, universal language, multi-layer configuration and common development software.
HMI screen security includes assigning of access privileges with the utilization of usernames and passwords. Up to 16 passwords is supported by the terminal. Advanced alarm handling is performed with the utilization of active and historical alarm list, alarm banners and printing function. The HMI supports universal language with the pre-loaded 46 languages that can be activated with simple language switching method.
This operator terminal carries UL, cUL/CSA and CE certifications, rated for NEMA 4X and approved for operation in Class 1 Division 2 environments.
The compact Human Machine Interface (HMI) device is equipped with a 5- inch display with Color active matrix TFT. The screens resolution is 320 x 234 pixels. Process control and manipulation can be made through the terminals Keypad input mechanism. When operating this HMI device, it is recommended to use a gloved finger for Keypad to protect from contaminants such as oil, paint, water and dust. This terminal is most vulnerable to these contaminants as it is installed in the factory floor.
The operator terminal has an integrated Data Highway Plus (DH+) communication port. DH+ allows communication between multiple partner devices using a 3-conductor wire.
