The 2711-T10C9 is designed to operated in the demanding environment and workplace of an industrial application. The ruggedness of the design allows the HMI device for use in a wide variety of industry such a Mining, Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, Food and Beverage, Pulp and Paper, Cement, Power and other industries and in different process and factory automation applications.
The 2711-T10C9 is an obsolete HMI device with discontinuation date of 12/31/2012.
This operator terminal is fitted with a 10.4-inch screen that has a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels.
Process control and user response is initiated using the touch input mechanism. This input interface has 384 cells installed in rows and columns to cover each area of the screen. A gloved finger or a rounded pointer or a stylus is recommended when interacting with the terminal. This will minimize the presence of contaminants in the screen such as oil, dust, paint, water or any foreign field contaminant.
Data exchange is performed in duplex or half duplex mode through the integrated RS232 communication port that speaks DH485 protocol. This port may be used to establish communication between a MicroLogix and SLC 500 controllers using DH-485 protocol. When used in peer-to-peer communication dedicated connection for high priority data is established.
The PanelView has an integral memory of 310 KB application runtime and 1008 KB nonvolatile memory. Application downloaded to the terminal are developed using PanelBuilder 32 software.
