 Product Overview

The PanelView 600 with part number 2711-T6C10L1 is a Human Machine Interface (HMI) device that is used to implement Human Machine Interface (HMI) solutions in the factory floor. This electronic hardware is rated for NEMA 4x and approved for operation in Class 1 Division 2 process areas. It carries UL, cUL/CSA and CE certifications.

The HMI device has a 5-inch Color active matrix Thin Film Transistor (TFT) screen with VGA resolution of 320 x 234 pixels. It supports touch screen operation through the embedded touch membrane made of 128 touch cells. It communicates with partner automation devices via the integrated DeviceNet communication port. DeviceNet is designed to connect to the device level link using server explicit, client explicit, I/O or ‘Listen Only’ messaging modes. It may also be used to connect to Allen-Bradley PLC-5, SLC 500 and ControlLogix controllers with the utilization of a DeviceNet Scanner Module.

Utilize advanced alarm handling with this compact hardware by using the active and historical alarm template available in the development library. Design alarm pop-up banners to display appropriate messages the moment an event or alarm is triggered. Alarm printing may be implemented by configuring the secondary RS232 communication port. It can be used to document alarm records containing alarm lists, messages, time stamp, triggers and user actions.

The 2711-T6C10L1 also features capability for universal language, multi-layer configuration and screen security.

PanelBuilder32 is the development software used to create applications intended for this device. This software requires activation thus, a necessary software tool for the this PanelView family. PanelBuilder32 features an offline development capability and test function. With this, application engineering may be started even without the actual PanelView hardware.
