The Allen-Bradley 2711P-B10C15B1 is a discontinued product under the product catalog 2711P PanelView Plus Operator Terminal. This operator terminals are the successor of PanelView Plus Standard operator terminals. PanelView are improved and enhanced products that delivers high-performance and reliability even under a continuous 24/7 operation.

The specific product 2711P-B10C15B1 belong to the PanelView Plus 1000 that is pre-installed with a dual operator input interface via the keypad and analog resistive touchscreen, 10.4-inch colored display screen with resolution of 640 x 480 pixels, embedded compatibility with ControlNet, Ethernet and RS232 and supply voltage rating of 85 to 264 VAC with an input frequency of 47 to 63 Hz.

This HMI hardware is especially compatible with Allen-Bradley products. The Ethernet port is most ideal with CompactLogix and ControlLogix controllers as these controller platform’s native protocol is CIP via ethernet. ControlNet is a legacy protocol utilizing a coaxial cable to serve as trunk and requires each node to connect as nodes via ControlNet taps. RS232 also supports a variety of controllers. A 9-pin D-sub connector must be used with appropriate upload and download cables. Some of these are 2711-NC13, 2711-NC14, for PLC5 and MicroLogix, ControlLogix, CompactLogix and FlexLogix controllers. This device also supports 3rd-party devices.

This operator terminal is capable of implementing basic functions of a Human Machine Interface (HMI) device such as an overview and detailed graphic displays, alarm handling, tag trending and security. It may also be configured to create data logs that is ideal for analog values, simple recipe design, alarm messages printing and other functionalities.
