 Product Overview

The Allen-Bradley 2711P-B4C20A8 belongs to the PanelView Plus 6 operator terminal. This Human Machine Interface (HMI) device is a PanelView Plus 400 that runs a custom designed application. It has an integrated runtime environment that do not require a license for operation.

The PanelView terminal’s custom application is created with FactoryTalk View Machine Edition software. This software is the common development software for all the PanelView Plus 6 terminals, loaded with object library and templates that are ready to use for the intended application. It is also used to migrate applications from legacy PanelView products to the recent products.

The terminal itself is loaded with an integrated Windows C.E. 6.0 operating system. Windows CE supports Windows OS tools such as file explorer, control panel, command prompt, excel, word and pdf viewer.

The 2711P-B4C20A8 has a color active matrix TFT screen which supports colored graphics and animation. When implemented, standard color codes as well as plant specific color nomenclature may be applied to provide a more informative display.
This operator interface terminal is operated with the Touch screen and Keypad interface. When operating the input terminals, it is recommended to use single finger or a gloved finger to protect the button and the touch membrane. Additionally, a rounded-tip pen or pointer may be used with the touchscreen.
This HMI terminal is powered by an AC source with rated supply range is 100 to 240 VAC.

The 2711P-B4C20A8 terminal can be operated in vibrating conditions of up to 57 Hertz at a 2G peak vibration level, operating temperature range of 32 to 131 degrees Fahrenheit and non-operating temperature range of -13 to 158 degrees Fahrenheit.

The 2711P-B4C20A8 has built-in RS232 ports for DF1 protocol, compatible for short distances, Ethernet for ethernet networks and USB ports for USB and external peripherals.
