The Allen-Bradley 2711P-K15C4A1 operator terminal belong to the PanelView Plus 1500 product catalog. This operator terminal is used to increase process operability by providing a centralized visualization and control of the process through an electronic hardware.
This device is a Human Machine Interface (HMI) that is typically implemented as the main control point in the machine level area. This device is a panel mounted hardware with compact assembly of a visualization screen, keypad input mechanism, communication ports, memory modules and other HMI components.
This HMI features a 15.0-inch colored screen that supports implementation of graphics with color coded animations. Implementing color codes is a common practice to quickly indicate the state of a device, condition of the system, quality of signal as well as indicate process location and material being handled. The screen has a resolution of 1024 x 768.
Control input is made through the keypad component that is made a number of programmable and fixed task buttons. It has an actuation lifespan of 1 million presses.
The data exchange ports are used to connect to process controllers, especially compatible with Allen-Bradley but may also be sued with 3rd party devices. These communication ports are Ethernet, DH485 ad RS232. The dual USB port is intended for attaching external input devices such as mouse and keyboard.
Develop and edit applications using the FactoryTalk View Studio for Machine Edition software. This is software not included in the delivery of the panel. It is that is designed for offline development with test and debug feature. Use the configuration mode menu to set the terminal runtime behavior and to launch manually or automatically the Machin Edition runtime environment. The runtime environment does not require activation as this is pre0installed with the terminal.
