 Product Overview

The 2711P-RN15S is a communication module that is compatible for with PanelView Plus / PanelView Plus 6 Operator Terminals. It has an integrated ControlNet communication

This module is an add-on component to the PanelView Plus / PanelView Plus 6 terminals. This communication module may only be installed to 700-1500 terminals as the 700-1500 support add-on components.

The communication module has Network Access Ports (NAP) and Two (2) channel ControlNet communication port. Though there are Two (2) ControlNet ports, never attempt to connect a second network as this might make the connection erratic. When using this component to connect to the network, use a ControlNet tap to join the ControlNet trunk.

Utilization of both Ports A and B is permitted only in Redundant ControlNet communication setup. Connection to the primary trunk through a ControlNet Tap must be terminated to Port A. Secondary ControlNet trunk must be connected to the Port B of the module using another tap.

It is important to note this ControlNet communication module will not operate using RSView Machine edition firmware 3.20.03.43 or earlier. ControlNet firmware must also be upgraded to firmware 3.08 as a minimum to maintain a stable operation.

When installing this module, power must be removed to the PanelView Operator terminal. As this module connects via a provided slot, insertion of the cartridge connector may cause electrical arcs which may damage the communication module or the operator terminal itself.

The module’s operating temperature is 0 to 55 deg. C and Storage Temperature of -25 to 70 Deg. C. It carries certification C-TICK, CCC, CE, CUL, GOST, KC, UL.
