Product Overview
The 2711P-T10C4B1 PanelView Plus operator terminal features a colored active matrix TFT screen, measuring 10.4-inches, a touch input area for operator action, integrated memory of Flash Memory of 128MB and Random-Access Memory of 128 MB. It has a variety of integrated communication port such as Ethernet, DH485 and RS232.
The terminal executes the custom application using the integrated FactoryTalk Machine Edition Runtime. This is a pre-installed software that comes with the product that does require activation. The purpose of the product is to provide a runtime environment to which the operator observes and interact with the process.
This drive is intended to be designed with a colored graphical representation. The advantage of a colored graphic screen is that it may instantly depict the status of the system without the need to view the operator and read the text indicators. Good status may be depicted as Green, Non-Operational as Yellow and Bad or Faulted as Red. In some areas or regions, Red and Green may be interchanged while Yellow may also be changed to amber. These colors are internationally accepted color coding however, plant specific codes may be implemented or depending to the process. Process medium such as water are sometimes depicted as Blue or Light Blue. Other materials or medium may be assigned with a particular color. In flow applications, the pipes are given color coding as well to depict the medium that is flowing inside the pipe. In manufacturing industry where typical or multiple similar process lines are existing, line color coding may be implemented to display the process location.
