Product Overview
The 2711P-T12C15D2 is a Human Machine Interface (HMI) device used for integrating data of process controllers and devices to create a central visualization and control interface. It increases process efficiency and operability of an reduces risk and hazard as operator may control the process from a single location.
HMI devices are compact machine level operator workstations that is built with a visualization component which in this version is a 12.1-inch screen having 800 x 600 pixel resolution; Operator input mechanism through the analog resistive touchscreen; Communication interface via the embedded Ethernet, ControlNet and RS232 communication ports; Memory capacity of 128 MB Flash Memory and Random Access Memory.
The main intended function of a Huan Machine Interface is to primarily present to the operator a miniaturized version of the process. HMIs are not always used for control are some are strictly for monitoring only such as Power Monitoring systems where the Voltages, Current, Power Factor and other parameters are readout however, this device is designed with control in mind to allow the operator operate the process from an area where it is more comfortable. Operation is initiated through the touchscreen interface while monitoring is made through the 6.5-inch touchscreen.
Parameters displayed in the screen are data being read from automation devices while devices being operated from the operator terminal are data written to the automation devices as well. This read and write instructions are made possible via the embedded communication ports Ethernet, ControlNet and RS232. Files are downloaded to the operator terminal and saved to the non-volatile memory. This application is executed in the Machine runtime of the terminal which utilizes the Random Access Memory. VIIIVThe 2711P-T12C15D2 is a PanelView Plus 1500 Terminal from Allen-Bradley. It comes with a Touchscreen input area and 12.1-inch Colored display.
