This Panelview Plus Terminal has a 12 in Display with Touchscreen Input with standard communication option of RS 232, Ethernet, and USB Ports. This unit also has a DH+/DH-485 communication module. This unit comes with a Logic module that has 128 MB flash and 128 MB RAM Memory and VDC power.

 Product Overview

The Allen-Bradley 2711P-T12C6D2 is a PanelView Operator Terminal that offers flexible communication options via the multiple integrated communication ports. This operator terminal may be used in large scale applications due to its advanced features such as a 12.1-inch Colored screen which may be used to implement colored graphic displays to depict process state and conditions, an analog resistive touchscreen that is rated for 1 million actuations, Random Access Memory and Flash memory that amount to 128MB each and nominal input DC supply of 24VDC.

This HIM hardware particularly offers a powerful set of communication ports. It has Data Highway Plus (DH+) and Remote I/O (RIO) ports that uses Belden 9463 cable. DH485 communication port for connecting to DH485 networks. These communication ports support legacy devices and may cover a wide length of cable. The Ethernet communication port is ideal for more modern devices particularly MicroLogix, CompactLogix and ControlLogix. It supports speed of 10 / 100Mbps with auto-negotiation. The RS232 communication port is designed for point-to-point communication in short distance. Typically, is used for within the panel communication. Alternatively, if communication protocol is not supported, communication adapters may be added to the PLC or the HMI or protocol converters and gateways may be used.

FactoryTalk View Studio for Machine Edition is the development software for this operator terminal. It is a separately purchased software that serves as the common development tool for a wide range of PanelView products. It allows offline development, testing and debugging which save engineering and commissioning time. VIIIVThe 2711P-T12C6D2 is a PanelView Plus 1250 Terminal from Allen-Bradley.
