The Allen-Bradley 2711P-T15C4A2 is a rugged electronic hardware that is compatible for installation in a wide variety of industries such as Mining, Pharmaceutical, Marine, Food and Beverage, Cement, Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, Power and other emerging industries.

The Specific part number, 2711P-T15C4A2 refers to an operator terminal with a display screen measuring 15-inches that can be designed to mimic the process operation including the state of devices and equipment. This display size offers the biggest resolution among the PanelView Plus family with its 1024 x 768 resolution. To operate the plant, the operator does not need to go to the local field devices instead, the analog resistive touchscreen interface of the HMI allows the operator to simply press on the symbol or image to trigger the necessary control action such as opening or closing a valve, starting or stopping a motor and many other functions.

This operator terminal is able to implement runtime environment through the embedded FactoryTalk Machine Edition runtime and the 128 MB Random-Access Memory (RAM) especially used during runtime session. The 128 MB for Flash Memory stores the application and files that are generated during runtime execution. If the built-in memory is not sufficient, RAM and CompactFlash cards may be added.

The initiated actions and process monitoring are sent to the corresponding automation devices through any of the data exchange ports such as Ethernet, DH485 and RS232. These ports may be used to simultaneously or one at time depending of the type of communication port available to the partner device.
