 Product Overview

The Allen-Bradley 2711P-T15C4A7 is a PanelView Plus 1500 that provide graphical representation of machine or process for visualization and control. It is used as a Human Machine Interface (HMI) that is typically installed in the machine level area.

Featuring a 15-inch screen with 1024 x 768 resolution, this HMI screen is largest display size among the PanelView Plus family. With this screen size, process mimic using symbols of devices and equipment may be used instead of basic text or flowchart or any combination of these process representation method. The operator has more workspace and pop-up faceplates may be designed to avoid overlapping.

Aside from the screen size, another equally important component of this HMI is the provided means of interacting to the process which is an analog resistive touchscreen that under proper operation, may reach up to 1 million actuations.

This HMI also has a relatively large memory that amounts to 256 MB of flash and Random Access Memory (RAM). The difference between these Two memory types is that the RAM is mainly accessed during the machine runtime and ensures a smooth execution of commands while the Flash Memory stores HMI files which are read or written during runtime. These memory areas may be individually increased or replaced with the use of CompactFlash or Random Access Memory modules.

The communication ports attached to this terminals includes an RS232 communication port for point to point interface, USB port for external peripherals, Ethernet and DH485 for multi-point device data exchange such as reading and writing of data.
