This Panelview Plus Terminal has a 15 in Display with Touchscreen Input with standard communication option of RS 232, Ethernet, and USB Ports. This unit also has a DH+/DH-485 communication module. This unit comes with a Logic module that has 64 MB flash/64 MB RAM.

 Product Overview

The Allen-Bradley 2711P-T15C6B1 is a discontinued operator terminal from Allen-Bradley. This belongs to the PanelView Plus operator Terminal that is intended to function as operator monitoring and control interface in the field.

This PanelView terminal offers the largest screen size of 15-inches. It has a resolution of 1024 x 768 and supports implementation of colored graphic displays. Process is controlled from the HMI device through the touch sensitive screen designed for 1 million actuations.

The HMI device supports both proprietary and open communication protocols. Proprietary includes Data Highway Plus (DH+), Remote I/O (RIO) and DH485 communication protocols. These are also legacy protocols that mature automation products are using. Ethernet communication on the other hand is the more modern communication protocol as more and more devices chose this protocol by default as it is easy to implement. The RS232 communication port is an old reliable data highway used for short distance and point to point communication. All these communication ports may be used to download and upload application to the terminal. The USB port is used for external peripheral connection and USB hub.

PanelView Plus Operator terminal are being replaced with PanelView Plus 6 or PanelView Plus 7 operator terminals. These operator terminal platforms use the common development software of FactoryTalk View Studio for Machine Edition or FactoryTalk View Site Edition Studio. These software from Allen-Bradley are separately purchased, only the runtime environment which is the Machine Edition Runtime is loaded to the terminal without the need of purchasing and activating it.
