Product Overview
The Allen-Bradley 2711P-T7C4D8 is a 24VDC powered, Human Machine Interface (HMI) that provides custom designed process visualization screen and control interface. Application downloaded to this terminal is developed with FactoryTalk View Studio for Machine Edition.
This terminal has an integrated runtime environment using FactoryTalk View Machine Edition Runtime. This runtime environment is activated and does require a license to operate. It also has a built-in FactoryTalk Viewpoint software for viewing HMI graphics using a browser.
This terminal hosts configuration environments such as the configuration mode menu and Windows CE 6.0 software, standard version. The configuration mode menu allows modification of terminal settings such as Alarms, Diagnostics Setup, Display, Desktop Access Setup, File Management, Font Linking, Input Devices, File Integrity Check, Networks and Communications, Print Setup, Startup Options, System Event Log, System Information and Time/Date/Regional Settings. The Windows CE features File Transfer Protocol (FTP) server, VNC client/server, PDF reader, Active X controls and Third-party device support.
This HMI is built with a 6.5-inch colored screen with resolution of 640 x 480 pixels. It may be used to implement color coded process mimic. Operator interaction to process is accomplished via the analog-resistive touch screen input that is rated for up to 1 million actuations.
The embedded communication ports are designed for legacy and modern communication protocols. The DH485 communication port is especially compatible with legacy devices while Ethernet connectivity offers a more economical scalability, as it does not require specialized communication converters to be able to interface with modern control systems. The RS232 terminal is intended for short distance and peer-to-peer communication. These Three (3) communication ports are exclusively used for data exchange communication. The dual USB communication port is compatible for use in printing, attachment of external peripherals such as keyboard and mouse and serves as hot-swap ports for USB drives.
