Product Overview
The Allen-Bradley 2711P-T7C6D2 is a PanelView Plus 700 Operator terminal. It is used to function as a Human Machine Interface (HMI) device that is used to provide real-time visualization and interaction between process or machine.
Add on components are available for installation to this HMI terminal. These add-on components serve a particular purpose whether improving operability, increasing built-in memory and providing alternative means of communication. Components that increase operability of the device include anti-glare overlays, Key legend inserts, display modules, backlights, firmware upgrade kits and some others. For increased memory, Random Access Memory and Internal CompactFlash cards may be used while alternative means of communication is achieved with the use of Communication adapter.
This HMI device has a 6.5-inch Color active TFT Matrix screen. This screen size is ideal for process mimic with simple design or simple graphics. It is important to consider the appropriate mimic design. Process visualization may be implemented not only with the use of images, as typically done, but also with text or flowchart or any combination of these.
To operate this HMI device, an Analog resistive touch membrane is installed to this device. This touch membrane enables the touchscreen interface which is designed for 1 million actuations. When interacting to this operator terminal, only slight actuating pressure is needed. If the touchscreen is not functioning correctly, it may be calibrated through the configuration mode menu > terminal settings > display > calibrate.
This HMI has an internal memory of 32MB Flash Memory and 64 MB Random Access Memory. It is also embedded with a variety of communication ports such as Data Highway Plus (DH+), Remote I/O (RIO), Ethernet, RS232 and USB.
