 Product Overview

The 1305-AA08A is a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) that belongs to the 1305 Adjustable AC Drives of Allen-Bradley. Sometimes referred to as variable Speed Drives VSD), this microprocessor based electronic hardware allows speed regulation of a 3-Phase AC Induction Motor.

This drive is designed to operate with a 3-Phase input Voltage range of 200-230VAC, output current of 8.0 A and motor rating 1.5 kW (2.0 HP).

This drive may be configured with the use of software packages such as DriveExplorer or DriveTools SP software. DriveExplorer is an obsolete software that was once used to configure the 1305 adjustable frequency drive family. This software is compatible for Windows 95, 98, NT and 2000. The only option to run DriveExplorer is with the use of a Virtual Machine that hosts the legacy operating systems. The second software option which is the DriveTools SP software is the more viable solution for configuration of this drive as it supports Windows 2000, XP, 7 and Vista operating systems. DriveTools SP is an offline configurator only which means the defined parameters are downloaded to drive without online monitoring. If changes are necessary, the offline file is modified and downloaded again to the drive’s memory.

If software is not available for configuration, this drive may be added with an optional Human Interface Module (HIM). There are several HIM designed for this product such as a Programmer only HIM, HIM with Potentiomeetr of HIM with Digital increase and Decrease keys. This HIMs are mounted to the front of the drive but may be installed remotely or to the enclosure door with the use of communication cables ranging from 0.33 meter to 9 meters.
