The 1305-BA03A-FR is a discontinued product from Allen-Bradley that is used to modulate speed of an AC induction motor by frequency variation. This Particular product belongs to the Adjustable AC Drives. Other terminologies for an Adjustable AC drive are Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) or Variable Speed Drive (VSD).
This VFD operates in Volts / Hertz or commonly known as scalar control. With Scalar control, constant torque is experienced as the Voltage and Frequency is simultaneously varied maintaining ratio between the Two parameters. In actual operation, the operator only varies the Frequency through the Human Interface Module, if supplied, via the Analog Input interface using 0 to 10VDC or 1 to 10 k Ohm Potentiometer or via a program that directly writes the frequency register of the drive. Volts / Hertz or Scalar control mode is applicable in common applications that require a VFD such as Fan and Pump applications.
The drive operation is started by supplying an input Voltage of 3-Phase, 380-460VAC along Frequency of 50-60Hz. With the drive properly powered, the expected output rating of this drive are of 2.3 Amperes and 0.75kW or 1.0 Horsepower. The languages of this drive may be switched to English and French.
The embedded I/O of this hardware is installed within the TB2 control terminal block. The installed I/O to this drive are Eight (8) Discrete Inputs, Two (2) Discrete Outputs, Two (2) Analog Inputs and One (1) Analog Output.
To define the operation of the drive, these I/Os are assigned with a specific drive parameter according to external signal device wired to the I/O channel. VIIIVThe 1305-BA03A-FR is an adjustable AC Drive with 3-Phase Voltage Input rated 380-460V, motor rating of 0.75 kW (1.0 HP) and output current of 2.3 A.
