Product Overview
The 20AD011A0AYNANC0 is an electronic hardware manufactured by Allen-Bradley for the PowerFlex 40 adjustable frequency AC drive product family. This is primarily used for implementing speed control to permit a specific motor be used with modulating control systems.
AC motors are typically used as Final Control Elements or as actuator for many control equipment such as a control valve, conveyor, pumps, fans, louvers, dampers and other instruments.
This PowerFlex drive features output Power Rating of 5.5 kW (7.5 HP), output current of 11.0 amperes, output voltage of 0 to 460VAC and frequency of 0 to 500 Hz. Applicable Input Voltage for this drive is 480VAC, 3-Phase. The control terminal block of this drive houses the integral I/O which consists of Six (6) Discrete Inputs, One (1) Form C Contacts for Discrete Output, Two (2) Analog Input and Two (2) Analog Output.
This drive is basically a Final Control Element (FCE). As Final Control Element, it may be connected to an analog output channel of a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), single loop controller or multi-loop controllers. When connected to these devices, the adjustable frequency AC drive speed depends on the analog signal produced by the controlling devices. The output may be automatically generated by a Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) controller or a manual loader where operator enters the desired speed directly. The analog output of the VFD may be used as a confirmation to these controllers if the commanded speed was actually implemented by the drive. This VFD unit also has the capability to act as a controller itself as it has a built-in Proportional + Integral (P+I) controller.
