To simultaneously implement these two control methods, an appropriate signal reference must be allocated to command whether to use local operation or control through remote communication. If connected to a Human Machine Interface (HMI) or Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), this may be a software button or a hardwired selector switch.
