The 20BD2P1A0AYNANC0 is an adjustable frequency AC drive from Allen-Bradley. This electronic hardware is capable of implementing speed control of an AC motor to allow the motor to be included in modulating control systems or complex control strategies.
Not only speed control, this drive has multiple modes of control. It is especially configured for Vector control which makes the drive especially compatible with applications that exhibits sudden load changes. It also supports droop control for use in load sharing applications. With droop control, a minimum of Two (2) drives is working in parallel with separate individual connection but with common endpoint. Without droop control, drives set-up in parallel may exhibit speed hunting. Load sharing technique distributes the load that is translated to speed equally to the drives or according to the required load sharing ration. One drive may operate at a base speed while one drive may modulate or both drives may have equal speed. This is typical with combustion control systems, pumping application and the likes.
The drives control method is through a Sine Coded Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) with carrier frequency. Carries frequency selection includes 2, 4, 8, and 10 kHz. Since this drive is a Vector Control capable hardware, output frequency range is 0 to 420 Hz.
This drive must be operated with an input voltage of 3-phase, 480VAC. The drive is capable of current output of 2.1 amperes and power output of 1.0 Horsepower.
