The 20BD5P0A3AYYAND0 is an industrial electronic hardware that is primarily used for implementing AC motor control. Specifically, it is a programmable hardware that is capable of basic motor control and advanced functions such as speed control, vector control, speed ramping, acceleration and deceleration and many other functions.

This PowerFlex 700 drive offers a current output of 5.0 amperes and power output of 3.0 Horsepower. Input power to the drive is a 3-Phase 480VAC. This drive is included with an IGBT brake with filtered emission.

It has an integrated Human Interface Module (HIM) with full numeric keypad. This HIM is installed in the front panel of the drive which allows localized drive configuration. In some installations where a disconnect switch is mounted on the front panel, a local HIM is not ideal. With this, optional HIMs are available such as a wireless HIM, remote Handheld HIM or a panel mounted HIM. These options allow configuration of the drive without disconnecting power to the drive. Whatever the type of HIM selected, the intended use of a HIM is to configure the parameters of the drive.

Install this drive to an IP20 / NEMA UL Type Open enclosure. Maintain an operating temperature of 0…40 °C (0…104 °F) this temperature range is applicable for a drive with top label. If top label is removed, the operating temperature range becomes 0…50 °C (0…122 °F). Mounting clearance shall also be followed. Top and bottom clearance shall be 101. 6 mm or 4.0 inches. If installed beside another PowerFlex drive, observe minimum spacing of 50.8 mm or 2.0 inches. Do not use spacers when installing this drive, it must be perfectly in contact with the mounting plate. This drive a Height measurement of 336.0mm (13.23 in.), Width of 110.0mm (4.33in) and Depth of 200.0 mm. (7.87 in.). It also has encoder interface option that is enabled only for Vector configured drives. The encoder feedback allows holding motor full load at zero speed. It has +/- 2% regulation.

The drive’s control method is through a Sine Coded Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) with carrier frequency. Carries frequency selection includes 2, 4, 8, and 10 kHz.
