 Product Overview

The PowerFlex 40 with part number 22B-D4P0C104 is an adjustable frequency drive from Allen-Bradley that is rated for 380 to 480 VAC input voltage rating, 3-phase. It has an output Current rating of 4.0 Amperes and power of 1.5 Kilowatt or 2.0 Horsepower.

This drive has an integral protection of Ground fault protection, Electronic motor overload protection, Removable MOV to ground and 6kV transient protection. This particular product is panel mounted in an enclosure rated IP66 / NEMA / UL Type 4X.

It has an integral Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor (IGBT) brake. As the part number depict, a front-panel fixed keypad is installed for configuration of the drive. It may also be installed with a remote panel or remote handheld keypad for remote configuration or without the need to open the enclosure when configuring the drive. Alternative, software packages such as Drive Explorer, Drive Tools SP software or Connected Components Workbench may be used to configure the drive offline and online. Premiere integration is supported with Studio 5000 Logix designer.

The 22B-D4P0C104 may be directly communicated and controlled via Controllers, Human Machine Interface (HMI) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) through the integrated RS485 communication port. It also supports additional communication adapters such as RS232, BacNet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Ethernet I/P, Lonworks and Profibus DP for expanded communication option.

Conventional integration involves using the embedded I/O channels to implement local / Remote, Auto / Manual control of the drive. The input channels are 24VDC sink / source configurable. It has Three (3) Fixed inputs designated START/STOP/REV and Four (4) Fully Programmable inputs. Two (2) unipolar analog inputs that can accept 0 to 10V and 4 to 20 mA and One (1) bipolar input that is compatible for +/- 10VDC. It has integrated Two (2) Digital/Optocoupler Output and Relay output with 1 Normally open and 1 Normally closed (form C) contacts. Also included is a single analog output that is configurable for 0 to10V or 4 to 20 mA.
