The 22C-D170A103 is a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) especially designed by Allen-Bradley for Fan and Pump applications. This product allows speed control and simplifies implementation of motor control modes through the integrated I/O terminal block.

This VFD unit may be operated with a 3-phase input voltage range of 380-480VAC. It has a Current output of 170.0 A and output power rating of 90.0 kW or 125.0 HP. It has an integral keypad that allows out of the box configuration of the drive. Drive parameters may be accessed using the embedded keys of the keypad.

The 22C-D170A103 has internal circuit protection that includes Bus Overvoltage Trip, Bus Undervoltage Trip, Power Ride-Thru, Logic Control Ride-Thru, Electronic Motor Overload Protection, Overcurrent, Ground Fault Trip, and short circuit trip. External protection device may also be installed to further protect the device such as Line filter with part number 22-RFD180. Recommended Fuse rating is 200 A and Allen-Bradley contactor 100-D180. Equivalent components may be used as an alternative to Allen-Bradley products.

This VFD has Seven (7) Discrete inputs, Three (3) of which are semi-programmable and Four (4) Fully programmable; These inputs may be assigned as Start / Stop, Forward / Reverse, Remote / Local and other applicable input signals. It also has One (1) Opto-coupler output and Two (2) sets of Form C contacts outputs; Two (2) Analog Input channels that accepts 0-10VDC and 4-20mA which may be used as speed reference and Two (2) Analog outputs that transmits 0-10VDC and 4-20mA signals which may represent current motor speed for interfacing with indicators, controllers and recorders.
