Product Overview
The 2711-B5A1 is an industrial component that is carries certifications from UL, cUL/CSA and CE and approved for operation in Class 1 Division 2 areas. This component is a Human Machine Interface Device (HMI) that is designed to function in harsh environments including 24/7, non-stop operation.

It features an integrated Key and Touch operator input, a 5-inch Monochrome LCD blue mode display, Remote I/O (RIO) communication and RS232 port for printer communication.
The embedded input areas allow a flexible operation through a keypad assembly or touch sensitive membrane. The touch input area is consisted of 10 function keys from F1 to F10 while the Touch screen allows direct input to screen objects and images. Both input areas are capable of 1 million actuation and ideally operated with a finger, gloved finger for Keypad and pointer or stylus when using the touch screen.
The RIO communication port allows communication to devices in a multi-drop topology and installed over long distance. RIO is implemented using a 3-wire conductor, ideally a Belden 9463 cable. RIO may be used to directly interact to the process logic or with the utilization of a Block Transfer Read and Write instructions. Either of the options, supports real-time and fast data exchange.
