Product Overview
The 2711-K5A8 is an industrial automation component that functions as a Human Machine Interface. This component establishes an active connection to Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Programmable Automation Controllers (PAC), gateways and converters via the integrated Data Highway Plus (DH+) protocol to be able to capture register data and bit status or any part of the user program.
The captured data is displayed in the 5.5-inch monochrome display. The terminal may be configured to provide an overview and area display through the development software. The screen is installed with a backlight component that has an expected runtime of 100,000 hrs.
Operator initiates response accordingly through the embedded keypad consisting of Ten (10) function keys, numeric input, navigation and cursor control keys.
User interface and HMI displays are developed using the PanelBuilder32 software. This software is the development software for the PanelView Standard Operator Terminal Family. It allows offline configuration and projects test that contributes to faster commissioning. All these main feature of the software may be done even without the actual HMI device.
For industrially approved installation and maximize the units lifespan, install the hardware in a NEMA Type 12/13, 4X (Indoor use only), IP54 and IP65 or any equivalent rated enclosures. Create a panel cut-out according to the cut-out template shipped with the terminal and install the hardware flush mounted to the panel. It has internal circuit protection however, external protection devices may be installed such as surge suppressors, transformer, Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) and other devices.
The 2711-K5A8 rated power supply input range is 85-264V AC, with a frequency of 47-63 Hz. The Operator terminals built-in Random Access Memory (RAM) is 170KB and an expandable 240KB non-volatile memory.
