 Product Overview

The Allen-Bradley 2711P-B15C4D2 is an operator terminal that features dual operator input interface, large internal memory and colored graphic display.

This operator terminal belongs to the PanelView Plus 1000 Operator Terminal. It is used to provide electronic based visualization and control. It has a 10.4-inch display that may be designed with a colored graphic to depict status of devices, equipment, quality of signal and other appropriate indications.

Operator control action ad data manipulation may be entered through the keypad and analog resistive touchscreen. If using the keypad, use the corresponding function key to trigger a command or sequence and input a numeric value using the numeric input key. Confirmation buttons are available as well as formatting and navigation keys. If operating via the touchscreen, simply touch the desired device for operation. Both input interfaces are capable of 1 million actuations.

This hardware is designed with Ethernet, ControlNet and RS232 communication port. Ethernet and ControlNet may be used with multi-drop communication. ControlNet uses RG6 as ControlNet trunk cables and ControlNet taps to connect the device to network while Ethernet uses Cat5 or Cat6 cables. RS232 is designed for point-to-point communication.

The internal memory of this hardware amounts to 128 MB flash memory and 128 Random Access Memory. These memory modules are expandable with the use of CompactFlash and RAM modules. The Flash memory is used to store files such as data logs, application, bitmap and images, user manuals and operation documents that may be called up during runtime. The RAM is utilized during the runtime environment of the terminal.
