This Panelview Plus Terminal has a 12.5 in Display with Keypad Input with standard communication option of RS 232, Ethernet, and USB Ports. This unit also has a DH+/DH-485 communication module. This unit comes with a Logic module that has 128 MB flash and 128 MB RAM Memory and VDC power.

 Product Overview

The 2711P-K12C6D2 is a PanelView Plus Operator Terminal that features a 12.1 inch colored screen for process visualization, Keypad assembly for operator input mechanism, internal memory of 128 Flash Memory and 128 MB Random Access Memory (RAM), powered by 24VDC input Voltage supply.

The visualization screen has a resolution of 800 x 600 pixels and display area of 246 x 184 mm (9.69 x 7.25 in). The keypad is made of multiple keys capable of up to 1 million actuations. It supports a variety of communication protocols. It has a Data Highway Plus (DH+) and Remote I/O (RIO) communication port. The RS232 communication port is used for point to point communication.

This operator terminal is downloaded with an application made with FactoryTalk View Studio for Machine Edition. Another software that may be used is the FactoryTalk View Studio Site Edition. Machine edition software is the more compatible as it is dedicated for PanelView Plus terminals or Human Machine Interface (HMI) while Site Edition version is used for Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) which also covers the HMI devices. In terms of pricing, Site edition costs higher.

Both are designed for offline configuration of the application. This means the application may be developed even without the actual hardware. Aside from offline configuration, these software packages allow test and debugging of the application. The finished application is downloaded using these same software packages.
