Product Overview
The Allen-Bradley 2711P-K7C4A1 is a PanelView Plus 700 Operator terminal that features a 6.5-inch Color active TFT Matrix screen, Keypad operator input, Ethernet, RS232 and DH485 communication port and 32MB / 64 MB integrated Flash memory / Random Access Memory.
PanelView Plus 700 terminals may also be used to run applications of operator terminals from different subset category such as PanelView Plus 400 and 600. It may also be used with PanelView Plus 1000, 1250 or 1500 however, process mimic needs to be redesigned as PanelView Plus 1000 to 1500 has larger screen size. For PanelView Plus 400 and 600, small adjustments are needed as there are more display area available. It is also important to consider the embedded communication port as the migration hardware should be compatible.
The colored display screen features 6.5-inch diagonal measurement and may be designed with graphics in colored animation. The operation method for this operator terminal is through the programmable Function Keys, F1 through F10 and K1 through K12. Aside from these function keys, there are also fixed function buttons intended for navigation, numeric entries, confirmation and cancel button. Optional operation method for this HMI terminal is by attaching keyboard and mouse to allow command and numeric entries through these additional peripherals.
This terminal is engineered for 24/7 operation and communication. Communication is made through the integral RS232, Ethernet and DH485 communication port. These communication ports are isolated from each other and may run according to the configured address defined in the tagname dictionary.
