 Product Overview

The 2711P-T15C4A9 is a PanelView Plus 6 terminal that is manufactured by Allen-Bradley. This product is an automation component that functions as a Human Machine Interface (HMI) device.

This HMI device provides process visualization via the 15.0-inch screen with a resolution of 1024 X 768 pixels. It is an 18-bit color graphic screen that can be utilized to implement visualization following international color nomenclature or plant specific color schemes. It is also ideal to be used with symbol rich or object-based process mimic rather than a text-based visualization.

Operators and machine user may interact to the controlled system using the embedded touchscreen input area. It is recommended to operate this input area with a glove finger or stylus to maximize the designed lifespan of 1 million actuations.

The integrated Ethernet, DH485 and RS232 ports are designed for industrial communication used with partner automation devices while the USB port is intended for external peripherals or USB hub as port multiplier.

The terminal is initially configured using the configuration mode menu where terminal settings may be accessed. It is also installed with a version of Windows CE that has extended features.

This operator terminal has a built-in instance of FactoryTalk View Machine Edition runtime software. This is used by the terminal to run applications downloaded to its memory. Applications downloaded to this terminal is developed using FactoryTalk View Studio for machine edition. This development software is separately purchased and activated.
