 Product Overview

The 2711-T6C3L1 is an Allen Bradley PanelView 600 terminal with integral support for DH485 communication protocol and alarm printing functions. This operator terminal also features a touchscreen interface, colored process visualization screen, a Random-Access Memory and Non-volatile memory, support for advanced alarm handling, universal language and screen security. It is developed by a common software tool, the PanelBuilder32 software with part number 27110-ND3A.

This HMI is ideal for small to medium applications due to the limit of runtime memory amounting to 190KB. Use of bitmap images, especially imported graphics may tend to consume a larger chunk of the runtime memory. Limit use of images as it may contribute in longer screen switching or loading. The non-volatile memory is used for storing HMI files such as application backups, user manual, data log and alarm files. The non-volatile memory may be increased with the use of an ATA memory card. Up to 32 MB of non-volatile memory may be added.

The 2711-T6C3L1 process visualization screen has a 6-inch Color active matrix TFT Display, with VGA resolution of 320 x 234 pixels. Control actions are initiated from the touch input mechanism that is made of 128 cells, arrange in columns and rows to cover the entirety of the HMI screen.

The terminal can communicate with PLCs such as PLC5, SLC, MicroLogix, CompactLogix and ControlLogix through the DH485 communication protocol. It uses server explicit, I/O explicit and listen only modes to perform data exchange between the controllers. It also supports communication with 3rd party devices and automation products.
