The 1769-L36ERM is a CompactLogix 5370 L3 Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) processor with dual Ethernet communication port and USB interface. This controller has dual Ethernet interface and supports Integrated motion over ethernet. It supports connection up to 48 nodes and supports variety of simultaneous controller connections of up to 256. The integrated motion supports up t o16 axes.
The 1769-L36ERM carries cULH (Class I Division 2), KCC / UL (UL 508), ULH (Class I & II, Division 2 and Class III, Divisions 1 & 2) / ATEX, CE, C-Tick, GOST-R and Marine certifications. It can be mounted on an a DIN Rail and directly to a mounting plate.
The controller supports programming languages specified by International Eletctro-technical Commission (IEC) standad 61131-3. Programs downloaded to the controller can be made with Relay Ladder, Sturctured Text, Function Block and Sequential Function Block (SFC).
The 1769-L36ERM has a power supply distance rating of 4 modules and supports 1769-PA2, 1769-PB2, 1769-PA4, 1769-PB4 power supply modules. It features a 3MB user memory with an option to install a non-volatile memory. A 1784-SD1 card with 1 GB memory is shipped with the controller. Optionally, a 1784-SD2 card with 2 Gb may be separately purchased and used instead. It can accommodate up to Thirty (30) 1769 Compact I/O modules in the local communication bus or aUp to Three (3) I/O expansion banks may be added to meet additional I/O on the process.
The 1769-L36ERM support installation of 1769-SDN or DeviceNet scanner module. With the use of DeviceNet interface, Compact I/O modules that resides in the DeviceNet link may be communicated with.
The Ethernet communication is not activated by default. The IP address must be defined for the controller to connect to a new or existing Ethernet network. The IP address may be configured using the programming software or with the stand alone BOOTP Utility software.
Use RSLogix5000 or Logix Designer programming software to configure the controller. For controllers with revision 20.xxx, user RSLogix V20.
