Product Overview
The 22B-B2P3C104 is a PowerFlex 40 drive that has features a 3-phase, 200 to 240 VAC input voltage rating and 200 to 240VAC, 3-phase output voltage rating with output Current of 2.3 Amperes and power of 0.4 Kilowatt or 0.5 Horsepower and for installation in enclosures rated IP20 / NEMA UL Type Open.
This VFD drive has an integrated Ground fault protection during start-up and active operation to maintain a reliable operation, Electronic motor overload protection, Removable MOV to ground and 6kV transient protection. Additional protection can be installed such as EMC line filters, Input power conditioner, Branch circuit protective devices and other applicable components to reduce risk of drive failure.
It also supports installation of communication adapters such as BACnet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, EtherNet/IP, LonWorks and PROFIBUS DP with part numbers 22-COMM-B, 22-COMM-C, 22-COMM-D, 22-COMM-E, 22-COMM-L and 22-COMM-P, respectively.
Control of speed is introduced by wiring a 0 to 10 Vdc or 4 to 20 mA signal to the input channels located at terminals 12, 13 and 14 (potentiometer) and Terminal 14 and 15 (4-20mA). Terminal 14 is the analog common terminal. Typically, a potentiometer is used at for the 0 to 10Vdc input while an analog output coming from a controller is wired to the 4 to 20mA channel. Inputs are individually isolated.

The 22B-B2P3C104 also comes with a fixed keypad that can be used to locally configure the drive parameters and settings. Alternatively, the Remote Human Interface Modules (HIMs) may be purchased for installation flush mounted to an enclosure. This is used to configure the drive without opening the enclosure where the drive is installed. Another way to configure the drive is through the DriveExplorer and Drive Tools SP software. These software packages are windows applications and can be utilized to configure the drive in offline or online mode.
