 Product Overview

The Allen-Bradley 2711P-K12C4D8 is a Human Machine Interface (HMI) hardware that belong to the PanelView Plus 6 operator terminal family.

This HMI device features a Windows CE 6.0 configuration environment. With Windows CE, windows commands are embedded with the terminal such as file explorer, command prompt, control panel and other tools. Windows CE also provides the capability of running an File Transfer Protocol (FTP) server, VNC client/server, PDF reader, Active X controls and Third-party device support.

Aside from the Windows CE, this terminal has a FactoryTalk View Machine Edition runtime. This runtime environment executes the downloaded application. It does not require a license for activation. Applications are developed with FactoryTalk Studio for Machine Edition. This is a separately purchased software that requires activation, used for creating application for a wide range of PanelView products including the PanelView Plus 6 terminal.

The HMI terminal is initially parameterized with the configuration mode menu. Under the configuration mode, settings such as time, date, node address, default application may be defined. Calibration of screen, brightness adjust, screen temperature may also be viewed and configured.

This operator terminal has process visualization screen measuring 12.1-inches diagonal, with resolution of 800 x 600 in 18-bit color graphics. Operator input is accomplished through the keypad assembly that is made of user configurable function keys, F1 to F20 and K1 to K20.

This device has an integrated 512 MB Random Access Memory (RAM) and 512 MB nonvolatile memory. It has an integrated Ethernet, DH485, RS232 and USB ports for communication to process controllers. It is powered by a 100 to 240 VAC input supply.
