 Product Overview

The 2711P-K6C5D8 is a Human Machine Interface Device (HMI) which belongs to the Allen-Bradley PanelView Plus 6 operator terminal. It belongs to the sub-category PanelView Plus 600 Color terminal that features a 5.7-inch display screen, keypad input area, RS232 and USB communication port. This terminal is pre-loaded with a Windows CE software and FactoryTalk View Machine Edition Runtime.

The Windows CE is used to provide a base software environment providing configuration interface such as control panel, file explorer and other terminal settings. It includes an internet explorer, pdf viewer, File Transfer Protocol (FTP), VNC server and client.

The terminal receives a custom application developed using FactoryTalk View Machine Edition station. This software is a windows application that has built-in library of process and electrical components, symbols and images. This is separately purchased and requires a valid license to operate however, the runtime environment within the terminal does not require a license.

This hardware is operated by through a keypad input area made of Ten (10) function keys and navigation buttons. It has an operating lifespan of 1 million presses. The process visualization screen features a 5.7-inch screen with resolution of 320 x 240, 16-levels gray and display area of 115 x 86 mm (4.5 x 3.4 in.). The screen has a manual calibration feature and adjustable brightness. It is powered by a power supply of 18 to 32VDC voltage range with nominal supply of 24VDC.

It has an RS232 port is ideal for that can be configured for DF1 and point to point DH485 communication. The USB host and device port that can be used for installing external storage medium or peripherals such as keyboard or mouse. VIIIVThe 2711P-K6C5D8 is a PanelView Plus 6 Terminal from Allen-Bradley.
