Product Overview
The 2711P-K6M5D8 is a compact, scalable and high-performance Human Machine Interface (HMI) which belong to the PanelView Plus 6 operator terminals. It features high memory capacity, communication ports, USB ports, Hot swappable card slots and embedded Windows CE operating system and FactoryTalk View Machine Edition Runtime software.
This HMI device has a pre-allocate internal memory of 256 MB for Random Access Memory (RAM) and 512 MB for nonvolatile memory. It has a free memory of approximately 73 MB. Expansion card is compatible for use such as Secure Digital Cards 1784-SD1 or 1784-SD2 as additional non-volatile memory that may be used for transferring files, firmware upgrade and data logging.
The embedded RS232 communication port supports DF1 or DH485 protocol. Optional interface modules may be added such as Data Highway Plus (DH+) and Ethernet to enhance the communication capability of this terminal. It also has a dual USB port which support insertion of keyboard and mouse for additional input method.
This hardware is operated by through a keypad input area made of Ten (10) function keys and navigation buttons. It has an operating lifespan of 1 million presses. The process visualization screen features a 5.7-inch screen with resolution of 320 x 240, 16-levels gray and display area of 115 x 86 mm (4.5 x 3.4 in.). The screen has a manual calibration feature and adjustable brightness. It is powered by a power supply of 18 to 32 VDC with nominal input of 24VDC.
Custom applications are designed offline using the FactoryTalk Machine Edition Studio software. User interface, screens, templates and faceplates are designed using this software. The application is downloaded to the terminal and executed by the pre-loaded FactoryTalk View Machine Edition Runtime. This runtime version does not require an activation.
It has an embedded Windows CE software that supports File Transfer Protocol (FTP), Remote desktop connection, PDF viewer for viewing manuals, media player among others.
