Product Overview
The Allen-Bradley 2711P-T7C6D1 is a PanelView Plus 700 Operator terminal. It is a 24VDC powered device with 6.5-inch Color Active matrix TFT screen with resolution of 640 x 480 pixels and display area of 132 x 99 mm (5.20 x 3.90 in). Process interaction is introduced through the built-in analog resistive touchscreen capable of 1 million actuations. It has a variety of communication ports supporting Ethernet, Data Highway Plus (DH+), Remote I/O (RIO), RS232 and USB communication ports.
The Ethernet port supports 10/100Mbps transmission speed with auto-negotiation feature. Ethernet can cover distance of 100m but may be extended with the use of ethernet switch or conversion to wireless of fiberoptic. DH+ and RIO protocols can cover at least 1KM of distance using a specified cable Belden 9463. It supports multiple communication partners in daisy chain topology. The RS232
communication terminal is ideal of short distances typically, a controller and HMI communication within the same panel. The dual USB port may be used for inserting external peripherals such as a mouse or keyboard for additional input interface of a USB hub for multiplexing of port.
This electronic hardware features a scalable hardware design as it support installation of add on components such as protective anti-glare overlays, adapter plates, communication adapters, Firmware upgrade kits, backlights, replacement bezel, blank compact flash cards, Random Access Memory, Internal CompactFlash cards, Communication modules, display modules and logic modules.
Application downloaded to the terminal is developed using FactoryTalk View Studio for Machine edition.
