Product Overview
The 1794-OF4I is an Analog Output module from the Flex IO product family. This module features Four (4) individually isolated user configurable channels that is capable of 0 to 20mA, 4 to 20 mA, +/- 10VDC, 0 to 10 VDC, +/-5VDC and 0 to 5VDC signals. This module has a built-in Digital to Analog Converter (DAC) circuit that converts digital data from the controller register to analog data according to the configured output signal. This module supports 2, 3 and 4 wire output configuration.
The 1794-OF4I is designed to be operated with Flex IO communication adapters to become part of a Distributed I/O application. Appropriate terminal base for this module include 1794-TBN, 1794-TB2, 1794-TB3, 1794-TB3S, 1794-TB3T, 1794-TB3TS, 1794-TBNK, 1794-TB3K, 1794-TB3SK, 1794-TB3TK and 1794-TB3TSK.
This Flex I/O module may be used with mature and active Allen-Bradley automation platforms such as PLC5, SLC500, CompactLogix and ControlLogix controllers. It does not communicate directly to these controllers however; data is sent with matching communication adapters. For CompactLogix and ControlLogix controllers, the 1794-OF4I will be configured as a generic module while for SLC500 and PLC5, the 1794-OF4I will be configures as it is. The main difference with the configurations is that the generic definition does not support holding of last value. This is an important especially in the event of communication and processor failure.
This module has an analog resolution of 15 bits including sign. The modules absolute accuracy is 0.1% full scale @ 25 °C for Voltage and Current configuration. This module does is factory calibrated.
