The 1794-IE12 is a high-density analog input module that belong to the Flex IO product family. This module features Twelve (12) user configurable channels capable of receiving 0 to 20mA, 4 to 20 mA, +/- 10VDC and 0 to 10 VDC input signals. Each input channels support single-ended wire configuration without isolation.
Use of terminal base is required with this module. Not only with the 1794-IE12 but for all modules of the Flex IO system. 1794-TB3G and 1794-TB3GS are the appropriate terminal base for this product. The correct keyswitch position when mounting this module is position number 3.
The operating Voltage category of this module is nominal 24VDC, with acceptable range of 10 to 31.2 VDC. Successive approximation is the method used in converting the analog to digital data. This conversion is important as Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) processors does not recognize standard electrical signals. These standard signals are converted to computer supported number formats. The resolution of the analog conversion is left justified, 16 bit 2s complement.
Physical dimension of the module is 3.7 x 3.7 x 2.1 inches. Status of the module is reported in groups through the Light Emitting Diode (LED) green/red power/status indicator.
This module has configurable features that can be accessed only through the programming software. Configurable parameters include input and output range selection for selecting the input type and range and safe state operating value. Safe state operating value refers to the value that the module will hold or retain in the event of communication error. VIIIVThe 1794-IE12 is a high-density analog input module. It has Twelve (12) Voltage / Current single-ended input channels. This module belongs to the Flex IO product family that is used for Distributed IO applications.
