Product Overview
The 1794-OB16P is a Flex IO module that is used as a discrete output module. It has Sixteen (16) output channels that produces 24VDC. It is used for energizing devices or Final Control Elements (FCE). Some of these devices are indicators, relays, solenoid, audible alarms and other components.
This module has an internal protection for short circuit, overload and over temperature. Each channel is built with these module protections. In case of a channel fault, feedback is not provided to the controller instead, the channel automatically returns to normal once fault is removed.
This module requires a terminal base to operate. Appropriate terminal base for this module include 1794-TB2, 1794-TB3, 1794-TB3S and1794-TBKD. Terminal base 1794-TB2 is the most recommended terminal base for this module. Flex IO adapters typically support up to Eight (8) Flex IO modules installed in its local rack, this includes the 1794-OB16. Exception applies to 1794-ASB2 as it only supports Two (2) Flex IO modules. The 1794-OB16P may also be installed with a FlexLogix Controller or FlexLogix Local IO extender (1794-FLA).
This module operates at a Voltage category of 10 to 31.2VDC output. It has a nominal Voltage output of 24VDC. Each channel has a minimum ON state current of 1.0 A and maximum of 500mA, 8A per module. This module has physical dimension of 94 x 94 x 69 mm (3.7 x 3.7 x 2.7 in.). Output channels of this module are electronically fused.
When installing the module, Operating Temperature range of 0 to 55 °C (32 to 131 °F), shock rating of 30g and Vibration rating of 5 g @ 10 to 500 Hz. Ensure adequate protection for mechanical, electrical and environmental interferences is installed to maximize the modules designed lifespan.
This module carries c-UL-us, CSA, CE, Ex, TÜV, KC, EAC and RCM certifications. VIIIVThe 1794-OB16P is a Flex IO Sixteen (16) channel 24VDC sourcing output module. This module has an integrated protection for each output channel. This module is compatible for use with any 1794 Flex IO adapters to implement distributed I/O application.
