Product Overview
The PanelView Standard operator terminal with part number 2711-B6C2 is a DH485 terminal. It belongs to the subset category of PanelView 600 operator terminal that functions as a Human Machine Interface (HMI). This product is a legacy hardware that was discontinued on 12/15/2014 with engineering replacement of 2711P-B7C4A8. This terminal is recommended for installation in a NEMA Type 12/13, 4X (Indoor use only), IP54 and IP65 rates enclosure.
The 2711-B6C2 is fitted with a communication port supporting DH485 protocol communication. The DH-485 terminals support peer-to-peer communication with a single SLC 500, PLC 5 or MicroLogix controller. Direct register access using DH485 simplifies data integration as it does not require special instruction set. Being a single port terminal, it may also be used to download or upload applications to the terminal.
The HMI device has a6-inch colored TFT screen with resolution of 320 x 234 pixels. It supports colored animations for implementing standard color code schemes or plant specific nomenclature. Easily identify process area, pipe medium, process state, tank levels with the use of a colored graphic display.
The operator terminal features a Touchscreen and Keypad interface. The keypad unit has Ten (10) function keys, numeric input and navigational buttons. The touchscreen interface is made of 128 touch cells. Both operator input methods are designed for a minimum of 1 million actuations.
The terminal accepts power input of 85 to 264 VAC with power consumption of 60VA max. It has a built-in RAM of 170 KB application runtime and 240 KB non-volatile memory. Expansion memory is not supported by this terminal.
