The 2711-K6C20L1 is a Human Machine Interface (HMI) that features an Ethernet Communication port, 24VDC nominal power input rating, colored graphic screen and keypad operation.

The 2711-K6C20L1 provides a mimic of the process or machine through the screen with VGA resolution of 320 x 234 and display area of 15 x 86 mm (4.54 x 3.4 in.). It has an integrated backlight that is designed to operate up to 50,000 hr. rated half-life.

Operator control is initiated using the keypad interface which has Ten (10) function keys, numeric input set, navigational and cursor control keys. The function keys are assignable to multiple functions and may be linked to individual screens and object in the process.

The terminal uses Ethernet protocol to send and receive data form partner devices. This protocol does not require a special instruction or programming method to capture data from its partner elements. It may be implemented in linear topology and support a maximum of 100 m but can be further extended using protocol converters, fiber optic or wireless fidelity.

For industrially approved installation and maximize the unit’s lifespan, install the hardware in a NEMA Type 12/13, 4X (Indoor use only), IP54 and IP65 or any equivalent rated enclosures. Create a panel cut-out according to the cut-out template shipped with the terminal and install the hardware flush mounted to the panel. It has internal circuit protection however, external protection devices may be installed such as surge suppressors, transformer, Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) and other devices.

Provide adequate space within the enclosure for ventilation. The PanelView device and other components’ heat dissipation must be considered. The ideal ambient temperature surrounding the terminal must be between 0… 55 °C (32…131 °F). Maintain spaces for provision to access the back panel of the terminal for wiring, maintenance, installing a memory card and troubleshooting.
