Product Overview
The 1794-OA8I is an Eight (8) channel 120VAC Discrete output module. This module is designed with each of the output modules individually isolated. It belongs to the Flex IO product family that is commonly used for Distributed IO solution. This module is compatible with any Flex IO adapter, FlexLogix controller or FlexLogix Extended Local IO adapter.
This module energizes or activate a 120VAC device wired to its terminal. It may be used to energize relays, contactors, Pilot Lamps, Audible alarms, Solenoid actuated devices and other instrument and equipment. It carries out the activated command from the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) it is connected with.
Th output channels of this module operates in 120VAC voltage category. It has minimum ON state voltage of 74VAC and maximum ON state Voltage of 132 VAC with nominal Voltage of 24VAC. This module is used with a Flex IO terminal base. Terminal base are necessary as it provides the input and power terminals, DIN rail attachment and keyswitch for module locking. Compatible terminal base for this module are 1794-TBN, 1794-TBNF, 1794-TB2, 1794-TB3, 1794-TB3S, 1794-TBKD, 1794-TBNK, 1794-TBNFK, 1794-TB3K, 1794-TB3SK. Only One (1) terminal base is used per module.
When attaching the module to the Flex IO chassis, this module connects to an adjacent module, including the Flex IO adapter or FlexLogix controller to establish connection to the backplane. It requires 80 mA @ 5V DC power from the Flexbus to energize the modules electronic circuitry. Use a 1.6 A, 250V AC slow-blow fuse one each output. Recommended fuses are Littelfuse 23901.6 and San-O SD6-1.6. If used with Terminal base 1794-TBNF, internal fusing is included.
